Lighting Assessments
At Knowledge Asset Management, we specialise in comprehensive lighting assessments across a wide range of asset types, including street, pedestrian pathway, sports field, and decorative lighting. Our process begins by deploying experienced assessors to site, where each light is individually inspected, geolocated, and condition rated.
We conduct a detailed condition assessment that not only captures the current performance and physical state of each fitting but also flags any visible defects, structural damage, or safety concerns. Our team scrapes available data directly from each asset—such as asset IDs, wattage labels, and pole or luminaire identifiers—to ensure every asset is uniquely traceable.
Using GPS-enabled tools, each light is accurately plotted onto a map, creating a visual, exportable dataset that integrates seamlessly into the client's asset register or GIS system. This enables our clients to better prioritise maintenance, budgeting, and future capital works based on real condition data and defect severity.
The final deliverable includes a clean, location-based register of all lights, complete with photographic evidence, condition ratings, defect notes, and metadata, empowering councils and facility managers to make data-backed decisions around lighting safety, compliance, and renewal.
